In my personal work I tend to be geared towards fantasy and the like, an over used genre I know but I love it none the less. My greatest influences are Amy Brown, Stephanie Law, Brian Froud, and David Delamare. I thank Amy Brown alone for my love of watercolors. The first time I saw her art when I was 14 I fell in love with the medium and immidiatly began trying to work in them. Of course it was crude at first but now after 8 years of constant practice I can say with confidence I have taught myself well. Her art gave me a passion that I still have, and it still drives me to do more and grow with my art. As much as I would love to thank her, there is no contact page on her website. If she ever happened across my page, or if anyone ever pointed her in my direction, I would love for her to know just how greatful I am for her inspireation. I wouldnt be where I am today if it werent for her. Without knowing it she changed my life dramatically, and if I had never seen her art, I probably wouldnt have even gone to school for Illustration. She took my life down an entirely new path, that I would never have imagined. So for that, I thank her. I hope someday she can know just what she did for me.

A lot of people have asked me what my dreams are, or what my goals are as an artist. And as simple as it sounds, my dream and goal as an artist is to be an inspireation to other young people. My dream is to have someone save my art as their desktop, like I have done with so many of my favorite artists. I want a teenage girl to print out my art and tape it to her wall or door. I want to make someone pick up a pencil and draw. My greatest dream is to be an inspireation to others, in the same way I was inspired. I want to be able to light a fire inside someone to create, the way Amy Brown did for me.
